Stronger Together

Welcome to our site. 

 

We are the residents  against the application to change the zoning of a neighbouring property to allow for a concrete plant .  The proposed location  is in the residential neighbourhood of Winger and Hull Road at 665 Highway 20 in Williams Lake, B.C.  We created this page so we can share our ideas and our concerns regarding this proposed development.

 This page is in no way meant to cause harm to  a local business.   The company in question has purchased a property that was not zoned for their needs.  To serve their needs, the property needs to be rezoned and a legal covenant needs to be removed. This covenant ( a legal agreement between the ex owner and the Cariboo Regional District) was put on the property 30 years ago to protect the neighbouring residential properties from larger industry expansion.   This is where we will post information on the application of the proponent and what we can do to stop the plant and maintain our lifestyle here.
