Article in the tribune today by Celtic

Today Celtic tried to throw us under the bus and discredit our concerns about the neighbourhood. It was to be expected. They completely missed the point though.

Not one mention was made of the covenant! A legal covenant between the CRD and the previous owner of the property to restrict growth of the shop and the industrial activities on the property. This covenant was basically put in place in 1992 as a protection to the people that live around here. They have to take it off to put in a concrete plant.

Why would you buy a piece of property that had a restrictive covenant on it , not allowing you to do what you actually want to do with it?

They claim they will just have their little plant and their 4 trucks and they will never grow. That is hard to believe and honestly I would love to see them grow and buy 20 trucks and give United Concrete good competition but not in my front yard!!!

As the CRD has repetitively answered to me, there is very little in place that can regulate the growth of this development , once the zoning is changed.

They will grow and they will make more noise, more dust and more traffic... it is a sure thing.
